New Year, new look for the Golden Swan!

Dear Friends,

I’m thrilled to share with you the new look for my website and ‘Golden Swan’ identity.

It has been three years since I took this venture out into the world. I have been hearing your stories, and using spirit guidance to steer the course of life. The hope, always, has been to help you connect with your core self in the most authentic manner possible. In many ways, we have walked parallel paths sharing time and energy while marveling at all that the universe has to offer.

In my work with you while coaching, guiding, advising and helping, the Golden Swan symbol has been my constant source of strength and support. In its gentleness, there is power. In its calmness, there is wisdom. And in its beauty there is so much grace. The symbol guides my intuition and creativity. The golden colour of the swan is also a reminder that within each of us is an alchemist. We each have the power to transmute, and move from the ordinary to the extraordinary if we so desire.

It’s not necessary that beginnings coincide with the New Year. Beginnings can happen at any time. Every sunrise is a new beginning, a new opportunity. While I didn’t plan for this new look ‘Golden Swan’ to be launched on the day of the harvest festival Makara Sankranti (celebrated as Pongal, Bihu, Lohri, Uttarayan in different parts of India), it is such a happy coincidence that the world gets to see it on this day.

Designed by Deepa Tekur, the soft yet strong colours represent first light, the colours of dawn. These are the colours of the horizon when the first light gushes like a flood of hope into the darkness of the night. At this twilight zone between darkness and light, there is wisdom, balance, harmony and purity. It is at this moment between the worlds of darkness and light that there is clarity and an all-encompassing, all-knowing sharpness of the mind. This is when we embrace the darkness with the light, and bow to the miracle that is the universe. It is meditation in its deepest form.

The image of the Golden Swan, its wings forming a three-petal lotus, is an ode to the power and resilience of the spirit to constantly evolve and regenerate. It is the symbol of rebirth and enlightenment. Emerging from the depths of muddy waters, the lotus flower reminds us to be humble and focused on our inner peace. It’s the only way to exude love and beauty.

The ‘Golden Swan’ look may be different, but my commitment to work with you is only growing deeper. Together, we will understand ourselves, and the world around us, a little better.

Thank you for your constant support.

Sumaa Tekur
