The healing energy of the Shamaka Rock on Lake Baikal moved me to tears. My visit to this important sacred centre of Siberian shamanism introduced me to a faith that I wasn’t familiar with. But the more I travelled across the expanse of Russia, I learned that love and kindness are at the heart of every faith with only differing pathways to get there.

In a world that’s always in a tearing hurry, it takes regular meditation practice to calm the anxious mind. Meditation not just quiets the mind but also rejuvenates the body.
